Delta's parts sheet 82323 lists RP1740, with RP4993 seats and springs, for the 2100, 2102, 2400 and 2402 series two-handle kitchen faucets and for the 2174, 2176, 2474 and 2476 series.
Delta's parts diagram dated 02/13/2017 lists it for Classic models 3530LF and 3544LF-WFMPU. Delta's sheet 27821, dated 1/31/06, lists it for the SBS two-handle washerless widespread bath faucets 83200-SBS and 83500-SBS.
Danco's 16030B page, from one retailer, names Delta-Peerless kitchen series 2100 and 2400 and lavatory series 2500, 3524 and 3504. Delta's own sheet for the Classic 2500LF centersets lists RP25513, not RP1740, so the 2500 series is not listed here as a fit.
Confirm it is your part
Look at the body. Delta says RP1740 is plastic. Delta describes RP24096 as a brass stem with a stainless plate, and Delta staff describe RP25513 as brass.
Find the stop on the stem. Delta's 2006 sheet draws a stop, a key and a keyway on the stem unit.
Check the companion part. Delta lists seats and springs, RP4993, as a separate part from the stem unit. They are not part of RP1740.
Check the faucet type. Delta's sheet 70743 lists RP25513, not RP1740, for the Classic 2500LF family of lavatory centersets.
Check the faucet code. Delta's B2510LF sheet says the code is on the back of the escutcheon and picks RP41701 or RP54801 by the -A suffix. Those are different parts.
Do not use color or handle style as a test. HD Supply lists the genuine part as white, while Delta's product data says color not applicable. Delta lists RP1740 on knob and lever handle models.
