Delta RP25513 two-handle stem unit with 1/4 turn stop
Delta sells RP25513 as the stem unit for one side of a two-handle faucet, hot or cold. Delta staff say it is the RP24096 stem unit with the RP24097 1/4 turn stop included. It seals on RP4993 seats and springs, which Delta sells separately.
Schematic, not to scale. It shows only the features named on this page. No bench photo of this part yet.

RP25513-3

Same Delta name. Delta's page says it is ordered in full cases of 3.

Where it goes
Delta sheet 70743 Rev. E lists RP25513, with RP24097 and RP4993, for Classic two-handle lavatory centersets 2500LF, 2502LF, 2503LF, 2510LF, 2512LF, 2520LF, 2522LF and 2523LF.
Delta's troubleshooting guide names RP25513 for two-handle bath sink centerset and mini-widespread faucets. It names RP24096 for widespread bath sink faucets and RP1740 for two-handle kitchen faucets.
Delta's sheets for the 2100, 2102, 2400, 2402, 2174, 2176, 2474 and 2476 kitchen series and the Classic 3530LF and 3544LF-WFMPU list RP24096 with RP24097, beside RP1740. RP25513 is not printed there.
Asked whether RP25513 fits a Cassidy 3539LF, Delta staff answer that model 3539LF uses RP103594 stem units.
Confirm it is your part
Count the stops on the stem unit. Delta staff describe a permanent stop and a removable 1/4 turn stop, RP24097. Without the removable stop, the same stem unit is RP24096.
Look at the stem the handle fits on. Delta staff call it brass. Plastic stems are sold for this number too, such as Danco 10474, so a plastic stem may already be a replacement.
Look in the valve body below the stem. Delta says a seat and spring sit just under it. Those are RP4993, not part of RP25513.
Do not use size to tell it from RP1740 or RP24096. Delta's product pages give all three the same overall height, width and depth.
Check the faucet. Delta lists RP25513 for two-handle bath sink centersets and mini-widespreads. Its two-handle kitchen sheets list RP1740, or RP24096 with RP24097.
Delta staff note a white plastic crescent-shaped part on the stem unit, which the 1/4 turn stop sits beside.
Look-alikes
Delta RP1740
Why it gets confusedSame Delta product name, same RP4993 seats and springs, and the same height and width on Delta's pages.
How to tellDelta staff say the RP25513 stem is brass and the RP1740 stem is plastic. Delta's centerset sheet and troubleshooting guide give RP25513 for two-handle bath sink centersets and mini-widespreads, and the guide gives RP1740 for two-handle kitchen faucets.
Delta RP24096
Why it gets confusedDelta staff call it exactly the same stem unit.
How to tellRP24096 comes without the removable 1/4 turn stop. RP25513 includes it as RP24097. Delta's kitchen sheets print RP24096 and RP24097 as two lines.
Delta RP70676
Why it gets confusedDelta staff offer it as a substitute for RP25513 or RP24096.
How to tellDelta staff say RP70676 also includes the 1/4 turn stop, a seat and spring, and a bonnet nut. Delta sells the RP25513 seat and spring separately, as RP4993.
Delta RP103594
Why it gets confusedA shopper asked Delta whether RP25513 fits a Cassidy 3539LF faucet.
How to tellDelta staff answered no: the 3539LF uses RP103594 stem units. Go by the faucet model, not by how the stem looks.

Not printed on this page
Where the sources disagree, the figure is left off until it is settled.
Height and body width of the stem unit. Delta's pages, aftermarket catalogs and the FourHome listing give different figures, so none is printed.
Broach shape and spline count. No Delta document states them, and the Danco code S is not explained. Compare against the broach on the old stem.
No opened source gives a thread size or pitch for this stem unit, so neither is printed.
Whether RP25513 and RP1740 swap in the same valve. Delta staff answers point both ways, so it is not listed as a fit.
Tub and shower valves. No Delta document opened lists RP25513 by number for one.
Field notes
Delta's maintenance order: a drip from the spout means seats and springs, RP4993, first. A leak from under the handle, or one that persists, means the stem unit.
FourHome replacement
The FourHome replacement is a kit for one side: a molded polymer stem with its O-ring fitted, a rubber seat, a spring and a quarter-turn stop cam; the 2 pack holds two kits.
Catalogs disagree now and then, and makers revise parts without changing the number. Compare the old part before buying. Identify by measurement lists every indexed part near a given length and spline count.
