A Delta staff answer says RP18627 should fit any Delta two-handle shower. Other Delta answers link the H25, H28 and H41 handles to RP12631 and say the 2600 series extenders use H41.

Check the material. Delta says these extenders are made only in plastic, to match the plastic stems under them. A metal extender is a different part.
Check the color. Ferguson lists the genuine RP18627 as white plastic. Noel's shows white extenders with polished chrome screws.
Look at the handle end. Sellers of replacement extenders describe the broach as D-shaped, or half-moon. No Delta document found states the shape.
Count the pieces in a genuine Delta RP12631 package: two extenders and two screws. Delta staff say RP18627 adds an Allen wrench and RP12631 does not.
Check the screw that held the handle. Delta's catalog pairs the extender with one of four screws: RP12629 (10-24 x 3 in., knob handles), RP12630 (10-24 x 3-3/4 in.), RP20184 (10-24 x 3 in.) or RP12574.
